Overt Advert
This Walkers advert is an overt advert because the product is there and in your face at all times during the advert. The aim for this Walkers advert was to be in your face so you remember the advert and the product so you would crave it. At 0:05 they did a close up of the product before the finished of his question and then they still kept the product in the shot after the close up. The advert its self is made for adults because they want you to vote as the narrator said at 0:11 ages above 18. The gender is mostly for a male audience as the 2 main actors are male and you only see 1 female which is at the back of the line at 0:01. During the advert there wasn't really any information provided apart from you have to be older than 18 to vote they didn't talk about ingredients or where you could buy the product from. The location is in a activity part as you can see in 0:01 however its in a forest surrounded by trees as raccoons live near trees and they wanted to show the environment that is linked to the flavour of the product. This promotes the product on a different level as the are suggesting its a product that is practical and suited for different locations and accession. The advert is made for an British audience as from 0:01 its quite a dull day and a normal day in England also all the actors were British. If I were to put this advert in a Socio-Economic Group i would pick C2 D - Semi-Skilled and Unskilled manual workers because the aim of the advert was to sell the product and this is mostly related to job descriptions in this group.
